CAUGHT ON CAMERA! Racist drunk English toff lawyer done for train rant against mum and young son

A foul-mouthed toff lawyer drunk on red wine and his own sense of importance has been convicted in the UK over a public racist tirade towards a mother and her young son.

He had life all laid out on a plate for him. As a schoolboy, he was a boarder at the exclusive Milton Abbey School in Dorset. He then landed himself a cushy position at an upper-crust law firm, perhaps through connections of his family or rich schoolboy friends. But a life of drunken privilege for Alexander MacKinnon was to come crashing down during an afternoon train trip from London to Glasgow last December.

Mr MacKinnon’s downfall came while swigging a bottle of red wine and hurling racist rants towards a mother and her four-year-old son aboard a first-class carriage of a Virgin train travelling from London’s Euston station.

In the days prior to his racist tirade, the snotty lawyer had reportedly ‘liked’ Donald Trump, English Defence League, the BNP, the Scottish BNP and various Scottish Conservative associations on social media and posted articles about former Ukip leader Nigel Farage but these were all suspiciously removed following the incident.

At one point during his attack on mother, Sanaa Shahid, and her son, Zayn, the foul-mouthed solicitor tries to use legal weasle words to worm his way out; claiming that his racism wouldn’t be able to be proven as it was simply her word against his.

However, the sozzled lawyer hadn’t counted on the quick thinking of Ms Shahid who had captured the incident with her mobile phone camera. Ms Shahid is herself a trained lawyer.

The footage shows the 47-year-old Mr MacKinnon asking: “How did you get into first class? You don’t deserve to be in first class.”

Continuing with his tirade, Mr MacKinnon, then threatened: “You should be in common class. In fact, you shouldn’t be in this country at all.”

Ms Shahid praised the actions of the train manager, who ordered the tipsy legal-eagle off the train and called him a “drunken racist” for good measure after she reported his behaviour. Mr MacKinnon was then apprehended by British Transport Police.

Ms Shahid told local media however that she was surprised and saddened that about a dozen passengers ignored the whole incident and did not come to her aid or support.

Mr MacKinnon appeared at Carlisle Magistrates Court in early February. He plead guilty to a racially aggravated public order offence and was fined £1,154 plus costs.
