  1. Well said Gary
My sister Karen chetcuti Verbunt was murdered at her home in north east Victoria, she was watering her garden when cardemone our on parol entered her property & over powered her, he repeatedly raped & murdered her- on Jan ‘16. In the initial weeks of our grief stricken news -I can not describe my pain & suffering, first waiting for karens body to be found hoping she wasn’t murdered – I couldn’t eat, sleep, work or function – everything was in slow motion
I really feel & understand the unimaginable pain & heartbreak her family are going through. The pain never really goes away, I think of Karen my sister (13 months older then me) every day – I still can’t beleive this happened to her, my heart goes out to Eurydice Dixon’s family – I wish them so much support compassion & love
    Leny Verbunt

  2. Yes indeed a well written expose on the whys and wherefores of a post colonial penal colony and its inmates.Daughters mothers sisters spring to mind demanding protection but denying it with modernism, ultimately the individual regardless of gender must take an immediate reality check, must communicate perhaps even render the dark side bare that we may know and understand.

  3. I realise this might, probably will, create a backlash, but how many people have considered the problem of mothers of violent men? Who raises these violent people? As a low key example, watch the Woolies adv where Ben and his domineering mother are waiting at a bus stop talking about Ben’s car insurance. As a victim of an emotionally abusive mother, I can only thank God and my own understanding, gained form a lot of learning, that I have never turned my anger to violence on anyone. I will support the cause of domestic violence and abuse against women when it includes violence and abuse against boys and men as well.
Having said that, I do not care whether you like me or what they think about me, I only care whether dogs like me.
