His chiselled good looks, baby-blue eyes and sexy teardrop tattoo caused hearts to go all a flutter when a mugshot went viral, but now a former jailbird has hit the heights of the modelling world as he strutted his stuff at New York Fashion Week.
Jeremy Meeks made headlines all around the world in 2014 after a mugshot taken of him by a Californian police department was posted on their Facebook page.
He was eventually sentenced behind bars for 27 months on firearms and street gang charges but not before he was signed by White Cross Management modelling agency.
Mr Meeks, who was released in 2016, had been posting modeling shots to his Instagram account but this week was his debut at a fashion show, and boy did he not disappoint.
Mr Meeks opened Philipp Plein’s show at the New York Public Library with a number of celebrities, including pop star Madonna and rapper Tyga, holding their breath as they saw the one-time prison inmate pulling off sexy moves in a black bomber jacket before he took off his shirt and revealed his toned and artful torso.
Fashion royalty, including former Vogue Paris editor Carine Oitfeld, have given Mr Meeks their support.
