I can never ‘find’ or ‘become’ French, Italian, Japanese, English per se, Indian, Arabic or anything else.
I can learn another’s language, adapt to and adopt their way of life, ‘revert ‘, become truly imbued with the every part of another belief system, dress code, etc etc. I can love another people as my own.But I will always be who and what I am. Always. I can learn Urdu, Koine, Arabic, Mandarin, etc even change my appearance. I can never be Greek, French, etc.
Similarly, others can ‘find out’ about others – an Irishman can learn about another race of people eg Norwegian but he can never be Norwegian no matter what he finds out because he is NOT Norwegian.etc etc
Not all Celts use the 4 leaf clover.
The bottom line is:
We are all human. How about we live as one instead of all the nastiness, blame games, gaslighting, petty jealousies, discrimination etc etc?
We all want to be loved, to love in return. Not used and abused, kicked around etc.
When one person is hurt we all hurt.
Accept reject. This is only what I am thinking. There will be know-it alls or knockers. All I can say is life is short;
‘It’s not too hard to do the right thing’ by each other. And we’re seeing how massrs are pulling together on tge streets. Putting their lives on the line. For me. For you.
I’m very sad because my heart is with them all but I can’t be there as I want.
