  1. Yes well said. Sexist and racist. When sport is commercialized, this is exactly the sort of ugly, competitive, aggressive money-making machine it becomes. Our family used to love football and especially Collingwood. Now I have recovered from that delusion and wouldn’t touch either with a ten-foot pole. I wouldn’t watch or attend football or just about any sport if you paid me.

  2. People in public life such as McGuire have a duty to uphold standards and set the tone for others. Otherwise there’s no point having positions of leadership, accolades and high salaries.
